Dr. Alnouti obtained his B.S. in Pharmacy from Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) and his Ph.D. in Pharmacokinetics and Bioanalytical Chemistry from the University of Georgia. After completing his Ph.D. he worked in the pharmaceutical industry for Pfizer Inc. Then he completed a postdoctoral fellowship and became a research faculty in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the University of Kansas Medical Center. In 2008, he joined UNMC as a faculty in the department of Pharmaceutical Sciences-College of Pharmacy.

Dr. Gautam obtained his Ph.D. in Pharmacokinetics and Drug Metabolism from Central Drug Research Institute, Lucknow, UP, India. After completing his Ph.D. in 2010, he joined Dr. Alnouti’s lab as a postdoctoral research fellow. After a postdoctoral fellowship, he was promoted to an instructor, and he is currently a research assistant professor and the manager of the DMPK laboratory.

Qiaoyu obtained her B. S. in Pharmaceutical Engineering from China Pharmaceutical University (CPU), Nanjing, China. In 2019, she joined Dr. Alnouti’s lab as a Ph. D. candidate in Pharmaceutical Sciences Graduate Program at UNMC. She is currently investigating the pharmacokinetic and ADME profiles of a novel siRNA drug delivery systems.

Dr. Bathena received his B.Pharm (Hons.) from BITS, Pilani, India, and a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, Nebraska. His PhD thesis research was focused on identifying bile acids as biomarkers for liver diseases. In addition to his research on bile acids, he worked on several projects developing bioanalytical methods to study the in vitro metabolism and preclinical pharmacokinetics of drugs. Subsequently, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Clinical pharmacology and Pharmacometrics at the University of Minnesota. During the postdoctoral fellowship, he contributed to the analytical laboratory and performed Pharmacokinetic/Pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) analysis for several antiepileptic drugs. Dr. Bathena is currently Senior Research Investigator in the Clinical Pharmacology & Pharmacometrics (Oncology) group at Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMS). He currently supports the Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacometric activities for several early and late-stage clinical development assets.
