Yazen Alnouti, Ph.D.
Welcome to the Alnouti Laboratory
Welcome to the Alnouti Laboratory in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences-College of Pharmacy at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC). UNMC is located in the beautiful city of Omaha in the state of Nebraska.
Our research interests are in the area of drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics (DMPK). We develop and apply various in vitro and in vivo models to predict the ADMET (absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion, and toxicity) and PK (Pharmacokinetics) properties of therapeutic molecules.
We also have expanding interests in the area of bile acid homeostasis and its role in hepatobiliary diseases and drug induced liver injury (DILI).
Our lab is equipped with state-of-the-art and high-throughput bioanalytical instrumentation including LC-MS/MS.
Thank you for visiting our website and do not hesitate to contact me for any questions. We always look forward to work with new students, postdoctoral fellows, visiting scientists, and collaborators.
